Sixty percent of doctors are expatriates: Geela
Health Minister Geela Ali revealed that 60% of doctors in the Maldives are expatriates. To address this, the government is expanding local training programs at the Maldives National University. The goal is to increase the number of Maldivian healthcare professionals across the country's 12,000-strong medical workforce.
