NIC probes Customs negligence after seized vessels strike bridge
The National Integrity Commission is investigating the Maldives Customs Service for negligence after two seized vessels struck the Sinamalé Bridge. Despite prior warnings and relocation plans, the vessels drifted while in Customs custody. The probe will determine if officials violated laws or safety procedures regarding the ships' mooring.
