Coast Guard intercepts foreign fishing vessel
The Maldives Coast Guard intercepted a foreign fishing vessel operating illegally within the nation’s Exclusive Economic Zone. The ship, carrying seven crew members, was seized 46 nautical miles north of Thuraakunu by the CGS Imaduddin. Authorities are currently escorting the vessel to Kulhudhuffushi for further action.
