Land reclamation begins in Girifushi military island
Defence Minister Hassan Rasheed launched a project to reclaim 13.3 hectares of land and upgrade the harbor at the Girifushi military training base. Contracted to MTCC, the expansion will feature a modern 300-meter firing range and new officer training facilities to enhance the operational capabilities of the Maldives National Defence Force.
