Air pollution poses health risks in northern regions
Hazardous air pollution and haze in the northern Maldives are posing severe health risks, particularly for those with heart and lung conditions. The Health Protection Agency has advised residents in affected atolls to limit outdoor activities and take precautions, while air quality in the southern islands remains at acceptable levels.
