Developers invited to build affordable housing units in islands
The Maldives Construction Ministry is inviting local developers to build 2,100 affordable housing units across 13 islands via a PPP model. Contractors must finance and complete the projects within 24 months in exchange for free land and tax exemptions. At least 60% of units must be price-capped three-bedroom apartments for first-time buyers.
