Five Bangladeshis have been arrested in connection with assaulting and holding a Bangladeshi man hostage inside a construction site in Hulhumale'.

MD Hossain, 30, MD Mehdi Hassan, 34, MD Sha Alam, 39, Safif Hassan, 38, and Rasal, 20, were arrested in connection with the case.

The five were remanded in custody for 15 days.

Police said the case was reported on Wednesday and the victim was found in Villimale'. The man was rescued, taken to hospital and discharged.
