President Mohamed Muizzu is scheduled to deliver a speech at the Humboldt University of Berlin.
Muizzu is scheduled to deliver the speech on February 11 on the topic "Climate Change Without Borders: Lessons from the Maldives’ Adaptation Experience."
The speech will focus on the Maldives' approach to climate change adaptation and the important lessons for the international community.
Muizzu and Professor Marcel Robischon and Dr. Axel Klie of the Humboldt University will discuss the international community’s policies.
"The discussion will also explore how scientific research and international partnerships inform policy decisions, as well as how local and traditional ecological knowledge is integrated into national climate adaptation strategies," the university said.
The President's Office has not announced Muizzu's departure date for Germany.
