The Bank of Maldives (BML) has opened a dollar ATM in Fuvahmulah.

The ATM was officially inaugurated by President Mohamed Muizzu during his ongoing visit to the city.

In a post on social media X, the national bank said the new ATM will enhance access to foreign currency services for the community.

Fuvahmulah is a popular destination in the guesthouse tourism sector. Thousands of people from around the world visit the island every year.

Along with local tourism, many private businesses have also boomed on the city.
