President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has concluded his visit to the UK.
During the visit, Muizzu met with senior officials and attended the Maldives-UK Business Forum to strengthen trade relations between the two countries.
He discussed climate change adaptation, education and scholarship opportunities, sustainable fisheries, tourism and systemic reforms in justice during meetings with key officials.
Muizzu had meetings with Speaker of the House of Commons Rt Hon Sir Lindsay Hoyle and Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs Rt Hon David Lammy.
He also had a private audience with King Charles III at Windsor Castle and met the Secretary-General of the Commonwealth Hon Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey.
The Maldives’ fisheries promotion brand, From Maldives, was officially launched during the visit.
