President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has begun his second visit to the UK in three months.

The President’s Office said he left for the UK to attend high-level meetings and engagements on July 15. No details were provided.

"... accompanied by a senior delegation, will participate in meetings aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the Maldives and the United Kingdom," the President's Office stated.

Muizzu is also scheduled to attend a business forum in London.

Adhadhu understands that the government plans to unveil a brand to market Maldives' fisheries products.

The brand runs under the Maldives Fisheries and Ocean Resources Marketing and Promotion Corporation, formed by the current administration.

The two brands registered under the company are "From Maldives Oceans' Finest" and "From Maldives."

Muizzu's most recent visit to the UK was in April to launch a tourism promotion campaign in partnership with Liverpool FC.

He also paid an unofficial visit to the UK in November 2024. The first couple's daughter resides in the country for higher education.
