The Maldives and Singapore have signed three MoUs during President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's visit to the country.

Muizzu and Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong witnessed the signing of the MoUs on Monday.

MoUs between the Maldives and Singapore

1. MoU between the Government of the Republic of Maldives and the Government of the Republic of Singapore on Cooperation in Capacity Building

2. MoU between the Ministry of Tourism and Environment of the Republic of Maldives and the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment of the Republic of Singapore

3. MoU between Institute of Technical Education Republic of Singapore and the Ministry of Higher Education, Labour and Skills Development of the Republic of Maldives for Cooperation in the fields of Higher Education, Educational Policy, Technical and Vocational Education and Research

Earlier on Monday, Muizzu met with with Wong and Singaporean President Tharman Shanmugaratnam to discuss bilateral relations.

Diplomatic relations between the Maldives and Singapore were established on February 20, 1975.
