Saudi Hajj and Umrah Minister pays courtesy visit to President Muizzu

The Minister of Hajj and Umrah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Tawfig F. Al-Rabiah, paid a courtesy visit to President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu yesterday, during the President’s official visit to Saudi Arabia for the Hajj pilgrimage.

According to the President’s Office, the meeting took place at the Hajj Ministry's office in Mina, where President Muizzu expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the Government of Saudi Arabia for their exceptional hospitality and continued cooperation.

During the meeting, President Muizzu thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman for the care and attention given to Maldivian pilgrims. He praised the smooth and well-organized services provided to them throughout the pilgrimage.

He also noted how the Maldives’ participation in the Makkah Route Initiative has made a big difference, making travel easier and more efficient for pilgrims. The President said this year’s Hajj arrangements, including hospitality and accommodations, had been exceptional.

President Muizzu is in Saudi Arabia with First Lady Sajida Mohamed and a delegation of senior officials to perform Hajj. As part of his visit, he also held a meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, according to the President’s Office.
