Cabinet ministers have started blocking the anonymous "Hassan Kurusee" account on X.

With screenshots posted on Sunday night, the account announced that President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, First Lady Sajidha Mohamed and Attorney General (AG) Ahmed Usham had blocked it.

Some senior government officials told Adhadhu that the decision for ministers to block the account was taken after discussions and as ordered by the government. Several ministers have confirmed this to Adhadhu. So far, only one minister had not blocked the account.

The "Hassan Kurusee" account has been operating since 2022. It posted against the government of former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih at the time.

Since the beginning of the Muizzu administration, the account has been making many accusations. Many such allegations have been made recently as well.

Police tried to find those behind the account during the current and former governments. Court orders were also issued to find the people who run the account.

Police also began an investigation after a photo of Muizzu and Sajidha in Singapore was leaked by the account and they seized the photographer's phone for the investigation.
