Aishath Fifsheen Ali has been sacked as the Managing Director of the SME Development Finance Corporation (SDFC).
The Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) dismissed Fifsheen a year and two months after her appointment. The reason for the dismissal is unknown.
Fifsheen started her career in banking and finance in 2003 at the Bank of Maldives (BML). She has held senior positions such as Head of Channel Management and Head of Acquisition and Digital Payments at the national bank.
Fifsheenc holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Curtin University, Australia. She also holds a Masters of Business Administration and International Business from Edith Cowan University, Australia.
She trained as a professional banker from the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers and also holds a Chartered Banker qualification from Malaysia.
