Practicing Nurse Manager Fathmath Aasthana has won the Employee of the Year Award at Maldives' first private hospital, ADK.
Aasthana, who has won gold medals and titles in various categories since joining ADK, will be awarded a five-day vacation in London.
Awards were given to High Performers, Excellent Performers, Silver Performers, Gold Performers and for employees with 100 percent attendance.
Staff who won Silver Performers award got a cash prize of MVR 7500 while MVR 10,000 was given to winners of the Gold Performers award.
The hospital also honoured 35 employees who served 15 years, 11 employees who served 20 years, three employees who served 25 years and three employees who served 30 years.
Speaking at the award ceremony, ADK Managing Director Ahmed Afaal commended the employees' hard work.
Noting that the Employee Performance Award has become competitive in recent years, Afaal said the competition made it difficult to select this year's winner.
"It takes a year to complete the process of selecting employees for this award. It is done that way to ensure that the employees selected for the award are deserving. There are employees who work very hard day and night without getting proper sleep," Afaal said.
Civil Service Commission (CSC) President Mohamed Nasih was the chief guest of the award ceremony on Friday. The ceremony was attended by the ADK Hospital officials and employees.
