A man has been found dead in the sea near Hulhumale'.

In a message to the media, police said the man was dead when taken to the Hulhumale' hospital.

"Hospital informed the police that he was dead when taken there," the message stated.

Police said he was found floating in the sea in front of Hulhumale' fire station.

No further details have been disclosed to the media.
