President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has arrived back in Male' after concluding an official visit to New York to attend the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
He departed from the United States on Saturday morning and reached Male' via Dubai on Sunday morning. This is the first time he has attended the UNGA.
The Maldives' delegation included Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer, Environment Minister Thoriq Ibrahim and officials from the two ministries. The total number of officials in the delegation is unclear.
In addition to addressing the UNGA, Muizzu also addressed a Special Session of the UN Security Council. He also attended several events on the sideline of UNGA.
Muizzu participated as a guest on the 'Deans Leadership Series' of Princeton University’s School of Public and International Affairs.
