Dhiraagu has launched a promotion offering a Magellan 32 speedboat worth MVR 1.6 million to celebrate its 36th anniversary on October 1.

The speedboat designed by Al Shaali Marine Maldives will be awarded to the lucky winner with two 175 horsepower engines supplied by Yamaha's authorized distributor Alia.

"We decided to offer the chance to win a speedboat as it can be used for various purposes. The promotion is designed in a way so that as many customers as possible can participate. Prepaid customers can also participate this time," Dhiraagu Director of Brand and Marketing Communications Mohamed Mirshan Hassan said.

Dhiraagu's Customer Value Manager Hassaan Husni said postpaid customers who subscribe to a package worth more than MVR 400, prepaid customers spending more than MVR 400 a month and customers subscribing more than 30M of fibre broadband will be able to participate.

Noting that Dhiraagu customers will be able to win other valuable prizes every month during the promotion period, Hassaan said customers who enrol in the mega promotion will automatically be able to participate in the monthly promotions.

Hassaan said postpaid customers who subscribe to a package less than MVR 400, prepaid customers spending between MVR 200 and MVR 400 a month and customers subscribing to less than 30M of fibre broadband will be able to participate in the monthly promotions.

The prizes under the monthly promotions include a mini drone, a free diving watch, the latest GoPro and some equipment related to the speedboat.

Mirshan said the opportunity to participate in the mega promotion will end on December 31 and the draw will be held in January next year.

The Magellan 32 is a 32-foot fishing and excursion boat introduced last year.

Designed to accommodate 12 people, the boat can easily access sandbanks and has a toilet and a cabin. Some light meals can also prepared on board.

Meanwhile, Alia said the company would take responsibility for any damage to the engine on the speedboat during the warranty period.
