Five people have been admitted in Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital after a fire broke out on the third floor of Maafannu Enziange in Male'.

The fire was extinguished by the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Fire and Rescue Service and five people were taken to hospital.

IGMH media official told Adhadhu that the five people were being treated in the emergency room but did not provide details.

Videos circulating on social media show some of the injured being taken to hospital with the help of the public and police.
