The national airline Maldivian has decided to resume flights between Hanimaadhoo International Airport and Trivandrum.
Maldivian previously operated flights from Hanimaadhoo to Trivandrum and Cochin. The flights were suspended due to the airport expansion project.
In a statement, Maldivian said flights from Hanimaadhoo to Trivandrum will resume on April 12. Flights will be operated twice weekly on Monday and Friday.
Booking is now open with a return ticket costing for MVR 5191. The flights will be operated on Dash 8 aircraft.
Maldivian said the flights are part of the airline's efforts to expand its destinations and connect the country's north to international destinations.
A lot of Maldivians visit Trivandrum each year for medical and business purposes.
