Mihaad and Sahar removed from MACL Board

The Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) board has today removed its Chief Commercial Officer, Mohamed Mihad, and board member Sahar Waheed.

While the Privatisation and Corporatisation Board (PCB) confirmed that both individuals were removed from the MACL board effective today, it did not disclose the reasons behind the decision.

Mihad, who served as an executive board member of the airport operator, has served as Chief Commercial Officer at MACL since early 2024.

Sahar currently serves as the Deputy CEO and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Bank of Maldives (BML). She also serves on the board of the recently established Addu Hankede Development Corporation.
