The Maldives Securities Depository (MSD) has introduced a new online appointment booking system to streamline services and enhance convenience for clients visiting their office.

Customers can now easily schedule appointments through the "Book Appointment" section on the official MSD website by selecting their required service and preferred time slot. This system covers various shareholder-related services, including account opening and certificate processing.

The new service empowers customers by allowing them to choose a date and time that best suits their schedule.

During a three-month transition period, walk-in customers without appointments will still be attended to based on availability. However, once this period concludes, office services will be strictly limited to those with pre-booked appointments. MSD encourages all clients to utilise the online booking platform.

MSD CEO Noorbaan Fahmy stated that this initiative is a significant step in the company's ongoing efforts to improve the quality of customer service.

"Our goal is to provide convenience and ensure the fastest possible service delivery for our customers. We will continue to strengthen our digital and direct services to ensure investors and shareholders can conduct their transactions with confidence and ease," she said.

MSD is the official institution responsible for maintaining securities ownership records in the Maldives. It provides essential services to investors and listed companies, including securities account management, share registry maintenance, and ownership transfers. Additionally, the company handles the settlement of transactions conducted through the Maldives Stock Exchange (MSE).

In addition to these services, investors can monitor their investments and obtain account statements via the "Infinity" portal using eFaas login. Furthermore, MSD’s "FahiVote" platform enables shareholders to participate and vote online in Annual General Meetings.

The MSD customer service counter, located on the 3rd floor of Henveiru Gadhamoo Building, is open on weekdays from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm. For appointments, MSD advises customers to visit their website, call 3307878, or email info@depository.mv.
