President Mohamed Muizzu said today that his administration remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring justice and equality for all citizens.

In a message marking the beginning of the Islamic new year, Muizzu emphasized that the government will prioritize the protection of Islamic principles while upholding the nation's independence and sovereignty.

"This administration will always strive to protect the high principles of Islam, maintain the country's independence and sovereignty, and guarantee justice and equality for all citizens. On this occasion, I offer this assurance to the beloved people of Maldives," the President said.

Highlighting the need to set aside political and social differences and divisions, Muizzu noted that the most significant lesson to be drawn from the new year is to prioritize national interests above all else.

He further stated that a cornerstone of his administration's policy and a key objective is to build a generation loyal to their faith and nation—one raised on the foundation of authentic Islamic creed and fine Maldivian values.

"The start of this new year presents a fresh opportunity to rebuild our economy and strengthen our social fabric. We can only overcome the various global challenges we face today by confronting them with innovation, diligence, and hard work," Muizzu said.

Additionally, Muizzu urged everyone to resolve to reform themselves and society, distance themselves from all negative influences, and undertake a spiritual migration of the heart and soul toward the path of righteousness.
