An agreement has been reached to conduct drug tests for employees with Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) license through the National Drug Agency (NDA).
In a post on X, the NDA said they will help conduct random drug and alcohol tests for all CAA licensees.
The regulations now state that random tests of CAA-licensed employees will be conducted as part of a ramp inspection.
NDA also said it will fully cooperate with CAA under new rules which came into force in May.
CAA licensed employees include pilots, aircraft maintenance engineers and flight crew.
