Saudi Arabia's date-based Milaf Cola has been launched in the Maldives.
Milaf Cola was distributed to people at a special event held in Hulhumale' on Friday.
Standard & Origin, which imports and markets Milaf Cola, told Adhadhu that the company aims to provide healthy options at a time when people are increasingly health-conscious.
"There is also a need for alternative fizzy drinks. There are many people who are health-conscious," said the company's general manager.
Milaf Cola is produced by Thurath Al-Madina, a subsidiary of the Saudi Public Investment Fund.
The cola contains no sugar and the sweet taste is brought from date extract.
