The Indian military Dornier aircraft, based in Haa Dhaal Hanimaadhoo island, flew near the northern border of the Maldives today.
However, the Maldives government said they do not have any information on its operation.
According to aircraft tracking sites, the Dornier left Hanimaadhoo International Airport at around 1:00 pm today. It flew more than 60 kilometres north of Haa Alif Kelaa island before flying back south.
Data gathered by Adhadhu shows that the aircraft flew at an altitude of between 8000 and 10,000 feet.

The Dornier aircraft is now operated by civilians from an Indian government-run defence company.
When contacted by Adhadhu, the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) and the Defense Ministry said they were unaware of its activities today.
The agreement with India states that the Indian military aircraft in the Maldives should be operated under supervision and with the permission of the Maldivian government and military.
