Australian Ambassador meets Foreign Minister Khaleel

Australian Ambassador to the Maldives David Jessup has met Foreign Minister Dr. Abdulla Khaleel.

In a post on X, the Foreign Ministry said they discussed strengthening the partnership between the Maldives and Australia.

After the meeting, Khaleel posted on X and said he had a productive meeting with the Australian High Commissioner.

"Excited to deepen the strong ties between Maldives and Australia and explore new opportunities for cooperation," he added.

Jessup wrote that he was looking forward to work with Khaleel and his team "on strengthening the Australia-Maldives friendship."
