Avas Ride, one of the largest taxi service brands in Maldives, launched its new Avas App on Friday.
The app was launched at a ceremony held at Central Park in Hulhumale'. Bank of Maldives (BML) CEO Mohamed Shareef was the chief guest at the ceremony. A fireworks display was also held afterwards.
A Play Station 5 console was given to a lucky winner selected among the participants of the event who downloaded and activated the Avas app on their phones.
Before the ceremony, a children's event was held in the evening with a special show from Roboman. A Play Station 5 console was given to a lucky winner selected among those who participated in the children's event.
Avas Ride was launched in 2019 in Male' and has now been expanded to other regions of the country. More than 3000 vehicles currently use the Avas App.
