A total of 1,237 students have graduated from various programs carried out by Villa College.
The graduation ceremony was held at Dharubaaruge convention center on Saturday. Students from the Faculty of Educational Studies, Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Sharia and Law, Qasim Ibrahim School of Business and School of Computer Studies attended the ceremony.
This year, students graduated from 53 programs, 15 of which were from the University of the West of England. The remaining 38 programs are Villa College's own programs.
Villa College said 71 percent of the graduates were female and 29 percent were male.

Villa College Vice Rector Dr. Ali Najeeb said at the ceremony that the college is an educational institution that encourages students to pursue their studies to the fullest and the number of graduates has increased by 10 percent compared to last year.
Meanwhile, Villa College Rector Dr. Ahmed Anwar noted that the college's programs are designed to instil the graduate attributes that students should possess through or upon completion of the programs.
The characteristics include the ability to acquire knowledge and the spirit of development and improvement, he said. He added that technical ability in the students will have a positive impact on their lives.

University of the West of England Vice-Chancellor Professor Sir Steve West encouraged students who want to pursue their careers and pursue further studies to do so, describing Villa College as one of the best colleges in the country.
Founder of Villa College, Qasim Ibrahim said he was proud of the students and that they should strive to achieve excellence in life.
“Villa College is an institution that prioritises increasing the number of students going for higher studies," he said.
A total of 21,200 students have graduated from Villa College between 2009 and 2024.
