AgroNat and MITDC to be dissolved

The government has decided to dissolve Agro National Corporation and Maldives Integrated Tourism Development Corporation Limited (MITDC).

The Cabinet decided to dissolve AgroNat and hand over its tasks to the Maldives Industrial Development Free Zone Public Limited, which is developing the Agricultural Economic Zone.

The Cabinet also decided to take the necessary steps towards that decision, the President's Office stated.

The tasks of MITDC will be handed over to the Maldives Fund Management Corporation Limited (MFMC) by bringing changes to the company's mandate.

The government has decided to complete all the work to dissolve the companies by December 31.

In addition, the Cabinet decided to halt the merger of MFMC and Business Center Corporation (BCC) for the time being and decided that the projects carried out by Ocean Connect Maldives Pvt Ltd (OCM) will continue as before.
