Official figures have shown that two percent of tourists who visited Maldives from January to April this year stayed at the properties of Kaani Hotels, one of the largest hotel chains in Maldives.

Kaani Hotels operates four hotels in Kaafu Maafushi island which is popular amongst budget travellers. They are Kaani Palm Beach, Kaani Grand Seaview, Kaani Beach and Kaani Village and Spa.

The total number of tourist arrivals during the period was 772,651. From January to April this year, 15,945 tourists or 2.06 percent of the total tourist arrivals stayed at Kaani hotels.

Kaani Hotels said this was achieved by participating in various international events to promote their properties.

It is a noteworthy achievement that a local hotel chain conquered two percent of the market by competing against many popular luxury brands. There are more than 1,100 tourist properties in Maldives.
