The National Disaster Management Authority of Maldives (NDMA) received reports of flood waters affecting 85 places during heavy rainfall on Saturday.
The NDMA said it worked with the relevant agencies to put up sandbags and conduct rapid assessments of the affected places.
Following the rapid assessment, NDMA decided to provide temporary housing to 34 individuals from five out of nine affected houses.
Heavy rainfall was recorded in capital Male' and other regions across the country on Saturday as the Met Office issued continuous weather alerts.
The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) worked to drain flood waters in Male' by installing pumps in various parts of the city.
April is the hottest month of the year in Maldives with occasional showers, the Met Office said.
