An accident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday morning in Hulhumale' as a motorcycle collided with an ambulance.
The cycle driver sustained minor injuries to the legs, police said. The man was conscious when police arrived in the area but did not respond to questions.
A CT scan was done after he was taken to the hospital. But the scan did not show any head injuries, police said.
The cycle was severely damaged in the accident, according to police. The accident occurred when the cycle tried to overtake the ambulance as it turned a corner, police said. The ambulance was also damaged in the accident.
The accident was reported to police around 3:30 am. It occurred at the intersection of the Hithigas Magu and Fithuroanu Magu roads in Hulhumale' phase two, police said.
