Dhiraagu Mobile Legends Mini Series 1, which is part of a series of esports tournaments to be held throughout the year, has been launched.
Online registrations were opened for the Mobile Legends Mini Series 1 last week on Dhiraagu social media platforms.
Dhiraagu said the mini tournament has received overwhelming support from gamers across the Maldives.
The tournament finale will take place on January 27 with all matches live streamed on Dhiraagu’s YouTube and Facebook page.
“We believe that esports has great potential in the Maldives. As such, this tournament is an initiative to accelerate the growth of gaming as a sport in the country by providing opportunities for gamers to showcase their skills and ultimately build gaming communities for different online games,” stated Naiya Shareef, Manager Brand and Events at Dhiraagu.
Mobile Legends is a popular multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game that has taken the mobile gaming world by storm.
Last year, Dhiraagu conducted the Mobile Legends Conquest 2023, one of the biggest e-sports event to be held in the Maldives with a prize pool of MVR 100,000.
