The Employment Tribunal has ruled that the transfer of Arabiyya school principal Mohamed Shujau to the National Institute of Education (NIE) was unlawful.
The tribunal ruled that Shujau was transferred unlawfully and ordered his reinstatement, the former principal's lawyer Ali Saeed posted on his X account on Wednesday.
The transfer of Shujau drew criticism and prompted protests by parents of Arabiyya school students.
He was alleged to have been removed for not stopping and supporting the "Save Arabiyya" campaign undertaken by parents.
But his transfer to the NIE was unrelated to the campaign, the Education Ministry's Permanent Secretary told Adhadhu.
