Over 2,600 participants from 22 islands in 'Pink Ribbon Run Walk'

The Cancer Society of Maldives (CSM) and the Bank of Maldives (BML) have successfully concluded the 'Pink Ribbon Run Walk' to raise public awareness about cancer.

BML said the event was held in Hulhumale' and 22 islands across the country on Saturday evening. A total of more than 2,600 people participated in the Pink Ribbon Run Walk.

With the financial support of BML, CSM is doing a lot of work to raise cancer awareness and strengthen the psychosocial support services provided to cancer patients and their families.

In addition, BML will also provide assistance to the association to hold a screening program in the provinces.

BML will also be supporting CSM hold cancer screening programs in selected islands.

The national bank has been supporting CSM and the Pink Ribbon Run Walk since 2016.
