Elections Commission (EC) has said that 30 election-related complaints were reported during Saturday's presidential runoff.
EC Vice President Ismail Habeeb said at a news conference that 15 complaints had been submitted from the atolls and 15 complaints were also submitted in Male'.
"We have received a total of 30 complaints. We are looking into 28 of those complaints," Habeeb said.
Two of the complaints were resolved by 10:00 pm during Saturday's vote.
Habeeb said two cases related to corruption, one related to registration and three related to voting rights, 15 cases related to election staff, three cases related to campaign and anti-campaign and three other cases were reported.
Meanwhile, a man was arrested for allegedly handing out cash as the vote went ahead on Saturday. Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) said an investigation was underway.
A man was detained in Fuvahmulah for taking pictures of the ballot paper while another person was detained in Gaaf Dhaal Vaadhoo for showing his ballot paper after marking.
Another man from Vaadhoo was detained for throwing and damaging the ballot box after he was told that he could not vote without an ID card.
Police said two others were detained over election-related issues, but did not disclose details.
