BML internet banking introduces feature for checking logged in devices

Bank of Maldives (BML) has introduced a special feature that shows devices used to log in to internet banking.

The new feature is part of safety measures to strengthen security and protect customers from scams, BML said.

The device management feature can be used to check active sessions logged in to internet banking and information about logged in devices. Devices can be logged out as well.

The feature has now been included in the latest update of BML's internet banking application.

BML recently introduced several new features to protect customers from scams, including one-time passwords (OTP) through an authenticator, push notifications for transactions and an alert for every log in attempt.

OTPs were also required for scan-to-pay, two-factor authentication was introduced for logging in to internet or mobile banking and a 'kill switch' feature was added for customers to immediately suspend internet banking and card services.
