The Higher Education Ministry has opened applications for the Commonwealth Scholarships in the United Kingdom.
According to an announcement last Thursday, two students will have the opportunity to seek a Master's degree education under the scholarship.
The final selection of the two candidates nominated by the government will be made by the scholarship organizers.
Scholarship Conditions:
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in a field related to the course
- Any additional requirement regarding the course on the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) website must have been fulfilled
- Those who have taken government loans for higher education must have been paying them regularly
- The course should be of a higher level than the course already completed
The Higher Education Ministry said that priority will be given to students with the highest academic merit points. If the merit points are equal, priority will be given based on the period of service in the country after obtaining the certificate.
In addition, candidates selected for the student loan scheme can also apply for the scholarship if they have not signed the loan agreement. Once nominated for the scholarship, the loan opportunity must be given up.
The deadline for applications is September 26, 1:30 pm. Applications can be submitted through the Higher Education Ministry portal.
