The Bank of Maldives (BML) today invited proposals for financial assistance under its Community Fund for the second phase of the year.
NGOs registered in the Maldives are eligible to apply.
BML decided to provide up to MVR 50,000 for each selected proposal to implement projects in the areas of environment, education, sports and community development.
As in previous years, a total of 20 projects will be financed through the fund during this year. The 10 best projects will be selected during the present phase.
BML said the deadline for submitting applications is 11:59 pm on August 10. The proposal and application form should be emailed.
The Community Fund was set up to provide financial assistance for non-profit NGOs to carry out projects on their islands. To date, the fund has provided financial assistance for 90 projects across the country.
Further information about the Community Fund is available on the BML website.
