A third Maldivian pilgrim has died while performing hajj in Saudi Arabia.
The deceased was identified as 70-year-old Qasim Ibrahim from Noonu Holhudhoo. He died suddenly in Mecca on Saturday.
The Islamic Ministry said 72-year-old Ali Hassan of Dhaalu Maaenboodhoo died while undergoing treatment at the Saudi German Hospital on Friday.
Earlier on Thursday, a 72-year-old Mohamed Naseem from Raa Maakurath who had been missing since Monday was found dead near the Mount Noor.
Over 1.8 million Muslims travelled to Saudi Arabia for hajj this year. According to figures, more than 230 people died during the pilgrimage.
This year's hajj coincided with Saudi Arabia's summer with temperatures reaching 50 degrees Celsius.
