A second Maldivian pilgrim has died after falling ill while performing hajj in Saudi Arabia.
The Islamic Ministry said 72-year-old Ali Hassan of Dhaalu Maaenboodhoo died while undergoing treatment at the Saudi German Hospital on Friday.
Earlier on Thursday, a Maldivian pilgrim who had been missing since Monday was found dead near the Mount Noor.
Over 1.8 million Muslims travelled to Saudi Arabia for hajj this year. According to figures, more than 230 people died during the pilgrimage.
This year's hajj coincided with Saudi Arabia's summer with temperatures reaching 50 degrees Celsius.
