British billionaire Richard Branson’s Virgin Atlantic airlines has announced that flights to the Maldives will begin in October.
Tickets are now available through the airline’s website and the first flight from London’s Heathrow airport will begin on October 22.
The airline’s operations will begin just as it starts to get colder in Europe. The airline plans to make three weekly flights to the Maldives.
The high season in Maldives tourism industry begins in November and airlines that do not fly regularly to the country usually operate some flights during that period.
Virgin Atlantic flies to 32 destinations and has 41 planes in its fleet.
