Seven island hospitals contracted under Kuwait Fund

Agreements were signed to build 30-bed hospitals in seven islands.

The health ministry on Monday signed contracts to build 30-bed hospitals in seven islands financed by the Kuwait Fund.

The projects worth MVR 686 million were handed over to India’s Anand Build Tech and a local company named Duplex Private Limited.

“This is an addition to our health sector development. All these projects are carried under the vision of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih,” health minister Ahmed Naseem said at the contract signing ceremony.

According to the health ministry, contracts were signed with Duplex Private Limited to build hospitals in Haa Dhaal Hanimaadhoo, Alif Dhaal Maamingili, Vaavu Felidhoo and Noonu Velidhoo islands.

Anand Build Tech was contracted to build the hospitals in Shaviyani Milandhoo, Kaafu Thulusdhoo and Thaa Vilufushi islands.
