The artwork encircles the Independence of Maldives and the burst of individualism that came as a result into a single brush stroke, painted with a literal 'minivan fihi' surrounded by the historic events that led to it. The background depicts the struggles through history to attain and maintain the freedom of the people be it from the Dravidians through naval wars, the freedom and prosperity that came with the conversion to an Islamic faith, the travels with the Kalhu oh'fummi that ultimately liberated Maldives from the Portuguese, and even Dhonbandaarain facing off against the Malabars.
