July 26th, the independence day of our country Maldives, conjure memories of remarkable sacrifice made by our forefathers. This day sums up the multiple innovation our country was threatened with over the course of decades. It is fairly easy to illustrate these occurrences along with symbols and characters whilst honoring the ones that attained martyrdom. However the most remarkable aspect of independence day for me is the freedom and blissful sense of liberation felt through remembrance of the past. Th mundane sense of jubilation and calming peace that lingers with us. That is my drawing back the tragic bloodshed, betrayal and invasion.
