Tree Top Hospital awards four scholarships to train nurses

Tree Top Hospital today awarded four scholarship opportunities to train nurses in collaboration with Villa College.

Tree Top Hospital's Director of Nursing Ms. Susan Herbert awarded the scholarships to the four students at a ceremony at the hospital.

After the ceremony, Susan told Adhadhu that 15 students expressed interest when the scholarship opportunity was opened this year.

She said the selection process was very competitive and expressed hopes that the students would make good use of what they learn through the scholarship.

The four students selected under the scholarship for diplomas in nursing at Villa College are Haleemath Hulwa, Aminath Ibla, Mariyam Maisha and Aminath Athifa.

Tree Top Hospital's CEO Dr. Srivatsan Sridhar said the nurse training program is an investment in people building and expressed hopes that the students who complete the scholarship will serve the Maldives.

A total of 15 nurses have been trained under the scholarship program inaugurated in 2021. Seven of them are currently working at Tree Top Hospital.

Tree Top Hospital which provides a wide range of health services in the Maldives has also been introducing new services with the help of modern technology.

The hospital is also conducting health camps in different islands across the country.
