Customs have seized 3.3kg of drugs smuggled into the Maldives by sea.
In a post on X, the Maldives Customs Service said 2,282 grams (2.28kg) of cannabis and 1,038 grams (1.03kg) of cathinone were seized at the commercial port of Male' on November 10.
"The operation was conducted in collaboration with Customs and Police at the Male' Commercial Harbour. The items were seized from a container of goods brought to the Maldives," Customs said.
Customs did not provide details. Police have not yet revealed whether any arrests have been made in connection to the case.
