A Maldivian man and Three Thai women were arrested on Thursday night from an establishment operating as a spa in Male'.

They were arrested after police received information that foreign women were involved in prostitution at the spa.

Police said the suspects were arrested with a court warrant. They were a 55-year-old Maldivian man, a 28-year-old Thai woman and two 30-year-old Thai women.

Police said further investigations were underway.

The police and Maldives Immigration are jointly working to identify and arrest undocumented workers doing business illegally in the country.
